Notice of Temporary Closure – Mixed Reality (MR)

Please be informed that Mixed Reality (MR) will be temporarily closed from 18 September to 2 October 2025 due to a private event in conjunction with World Tourism Day 2025. It will resume operations on 3 October 2025.

Overview

Encore Melaka is a world-class performing arts theatre and architectural icon located near Melaka’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Conceptualized by Datuk Wira Boo Kuang Loon, CEO of Yong Tai Berhad, the theatre opened its doors in July 2018 after five years of planning.

As the first 360-degree rotating auditorium in Southeast Asia, Encore Melaka sets a new standard for immersive cultural experiences.
With a seating capacity of 1,800 and a 240-meter-long stage equipped with advanced features—including water effects, mist, multi-lifting platforms, multi-storey staging, and 3D projection mapping—Encore Melaka blends cutting-edge technology with traditional storytelling.

Its signature 70-minute performance brings to life Melaka’s untold stories, showcasing the cultural richness, diversity, and inclusivity of the local community through state-of-the-art visuals and emotionally resonant narratives.

More than just a theatre, Encore Melaka is a multi-purpose performing arts center that hosts a wide range of events, from stage productions and film premieres to corporate functions, exhibitions, and seminars.

Loss of ticket will be solely under the full responsibility of the passenger.
The Encore Melaka show has a total duration of 70 minutes.
Performances are held on Sunday from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. On Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, the show runs from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM. There are no shows scheduled on Wednesdays.
Guests are categorized by age: adults are between 13 and 59 years old. Children are considered to be between 4 and 12 years old. Seniors are classified as those aged 60 to 99 years old.
All guests, regardless of age, must hold a valid ticket to enter the venue.
Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Children under 4 years old are not recommended to attend the show due to its immersive format.
Smoking and alcohol consumption are strictly prohibited within the theatre premises.
Any guest caught smoking or drinking will be immediately asked to leave by staff.
Outside food and drinks are not allowed inside the venue.
Dangerous or disruptive items such as bottles, firecrackers, and laser pointers are strictly prohibited.

FAQ

Yes. Tickets are automatically allocated with options in ticketing system.

Yes. A valid, legal photo ID, along with the booking confirmation receipt, is required for ticket collection.

Photography or video recording via DSLR, Video Camcorder and Handphone is NOT allowed during the show, including devices such as Google Glass are NOT permitted into the theater.

Yes. Later comers are allow to admit to theatre however they need to wait instruction of Theatre Crews. (This is due to the entrance will move away as the seat platform rotates)

First, our backstage is huge. We afraid guests will lose one’s way. Secondly, to prevent any unforeseen circumstances happened. Therefore, we cannot accommodate such request.
