Overview

Encore Melaka is a world-class performing arts theatre and architectural icon located near Melaka’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Conceptualized by Datuk Wira Boo Kuang Loon, CEO of Yong Tai Berhad, the theatre opened its doors in July 2018 after five years of planning.

As Southeast Asia’s first 360-degree rotating auditorium, Encore Melaka redefines live performance through immersive storytelling on an extraordinary scale. The theatre features a seating capacity of 1,800 and a 240-metre-long stage equipped with advanced production technology, including water effects, mist environments, multi-lifting platforms, multi-level staging, and 3D projection mapping and bringing every performance vividly to life.

Its signature 70-minute production presents the untold stories of Melaka, blending history, culture, and identity into a powerful visual experience that celebrates the diversity and heritage of the local community through cutting-edge stagecraft and emotional storytelling.

The Encore Melaka show has a total duration of 70 minutes.
Performances are held on Sunday from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. On Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, the show runs from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM. There are no shows scheduled on Wednesdays.
Guests are categorized by age: adults are between 13 and 59 years old. Children are considered to be between 4 and 12 years old. Seniors are classified as those aged 60 to 99 years old.
All guests, regardless of age, must hold a valid ticket to enter the venue.
Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Children under 4 years old are not recommended to attend the show due to its immersive format.
Smoking and alcohol consumption are strictly prohibited within the theatre premises.
Any guest caught smoking or drinking will be immediately asked to leave by staff.
Outside food and drinks are not allowed inside the venue.
Dangerous or disruptive items such as bottles, firecrackers, and laser pointers are strictly prohibited.

Seat selection is not available in advance for Encore Melaka bookings made through Melakabook. Seats will be automatically assigned based on availability on the day of the show upon arrival at the venue.

Yes. A valid, legal photo ID, along with the booking confirmation receipt, is required for ticket collection.

Photography or video recording via DSLR, Video Camcorder and Handphone is NOT allowed during the show, including devices such as Google Glass are NOT permitted into the theater.

Yes. Later comers are allow to admit to theatre however they need to wait instruction of Theatre Crews. (This is due to the entrance will move away as the seat platform rotates)

First, our backstage is huge. We afraid guests will lose one’s way. Secondly, to prevent any unforeseen circumstances happened. Therefore, we cannot accommodate such request.

With our offer, MyKad holders can purchase Encore Melaka tickets at RM68 for adults and RM48 for children and senior citizens. Without MyKad, the standard ticket price is RM138 for adults, children and senior citizen.

Outside food and beverages are not permitted inside the theatre. Guests are advised to consume any food or drinks before entering the venue to ensure a comfortable viewing experience for all visitors.

Yes, children are allowed to attend the show. However, children under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Due to the immersive and theatrical format of the performance, it is not recommended for children under 4 years old to attend.
